The China Materials Recycling Industry Work Conference was held in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province.
On July 12, 2022, the China Materials Recycling Industry Work Conference, themed “Enhancing the Development Level of the Materials Recycling Industry and Supporting the High-Quality Achievement of the Dual-Carbon Goals,” was held in Huzhou, Zhejiang Province. At the conference, President Xu Junxiang, representing the association, signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the China Materials Recycling Resources Public Service Platform with representatives from partner enterprises. Vice President Gao Yanli, together with leaders from provincial and district associations and representatives from partner enterprises, officially launched the service platform.

Speech by Vice Mayor Jin Kai of the Huzhou Municipal People's Government
Vice Mayor Jin Kai attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He expressed his great pleasure at being invited to the China Materials Recycling Industry Work Conference, and on behalf of the Huzhou Municipal People’s Government, extended a warm welcome to all the guests attending this conference and congratulated the organizers on hosting this event. He noted that Huzhou is the birthplace of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s vision that “lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets.” In recent years, Huzhou has attached great importance to ecological civilization construction, introducing numerous relevant policies and financial incentives to vigorously promote the development of Huzhou’s renewable resource recycling industry. The China Materials Recycling Association, with the mission of serving the materials recycling industry and supporting government administration, is committed to advancing environmental protection and the efficient utilization of resources in China. This event will undoubtedly bring new opportunities and momentum to Huzhou’s efforts in renewable resource recycling. He expressed his hope that, under the leadership of the China Materials Recycling Association, all recyclable materials can be collected fully, sorted meticulously, and regenerated effectively, thereby driving the high-level and high-quality development of the national materials recycling industry.
Speech by Zhu Jun, Chief Economist of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce
In his speech, Chief Economist Zhu Jun pointed out that in recent years, Zhejiang Province has been actively accelerating the establishment of a recycling system for waste and used materials, and the layout of the recycling industry has continued to be optimized. In 2021, the state issued the "Administrative Measures for the Recycling of Scrapped Motor Vehicles." Zhejiang Province took the lead nationwide in delegating the authority for qualification certification and approval, actively carried out publicity and training on the new policies, and sped up the transformation and upgrading of existing enterprises. Currently, the industry for recycling and dismantling scrapped motor vehicles has basically achieved market-oriented, standardized, and intensive development. He stated that the development of Zhejiang’s material regeneration industry would not have been possible without the guidance and support of the China Association for Resource Recycling, and he wished the conference every success.

During the high-end dialogue session, Xu Junxiang, President of the China Association for Recycling of Materials; Wu Yuxin, President of the Sichuan Provincial Association for Recycling of Materials; Xie Weifeng, a financial and tax expert; Fang Mingkang, Chairman of Huzhou Meixinda Circular Industry Development Co., Ltd.; Yu Jun, General Manager of Wuhan Bowang Xingyuan Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd.; and Wang Jianming, General Manager of Huaxin Lvyuan Environmental Protection Co., Ltd., each delivered their views on the topic and engaged in a lively discussion on issues related to taxation in the renewable resources industry.
At this conference, leaders from various industries, expert scholars, heads of material supply associations from different provinces and cities, and representatives from well-known enterprises jointly discussed pressing and challenging issues such as technological advancements in the industry under the new circumstances, environmental protection, informatization, taxation, and green supply chains. They shared their achievements in industrial development and established a platform for exchange and collaboration.
