Lubrication cycle for excavator hydraulic shears

However, proper lubrication is crucial for excavator hydraulic shears. So, what are the recommended lubrication intervals for each component of an excavator hydraulic shear?

However, it’s crucial to ensure proper lubrication of excavator hydraulic shears. So, what are the recommended lubrication intervals for each component of an excavator hydraulic shear?

  1. The gear surfaces inside the blocking plate should be lubricated with grease every 3 months.

  2. The grease nipples on the hydraulic shear of the excavator should be lubricated with grease every 15 to 20 days.

  3. For parts with relatively high usage frequency and prone to wear—such as large open gears, jaw plate frames, jaw plates, upper rollers, lower rollers, brake steel plates, and friction pads at areas involving relative motion—oil should be added once per shift.

  Different parts of the excavator’s hydraulic shear require different lubricants, and their lubrication intervals also vary.
